Who We Are
With nearly forty years in the Costa Rican car rental industry, Poas Rent A Car has grown from three humble cars at the Hotel Ambassador to its current, up-to-date and well-maintained 200 vehicle fleet, which services two international airports.
We thrive because of our daily commitment to our customers by providing local expertise, superior customer attention, and transparent fees to make for the best possible rental experience.
Our San Jose office is just 7 minutes from Juan Santamaria International Airport (SJO), close to major highways for easy access to popular vacation destinations, and a short 30 minutes from either Poas Volcano or downtown San Jose.
Daniel Oduber International Airport (LIR) is serviced by our fine staff in Liberia, located a mere 10 minutes away on Highway 21, and on the way to Papagayo, Coco Beach, Hermosa Beach and other favored Guanacaste locations.
We are able to deliver a client’s vehicle anywhere in the country, whether it be a hotel or vacation rental; however, we’re usually the first point of contact as we meet-and-greet at the airports. This allows us to provide any necessary background information or material, as well as presenting your VIP guests with appropriate gift baskets.
